Back to Nigeria?
Mark Jeffery has been selected by MASDAR to lead their proposed team for devising the communications strategy for the Local Empowerment and Environmental Management Programme in Nigeria. This World Bank programme couples local planning and implementation of micro projects with better care of dwindling natural resources. Mark hopes to lead a team of six on planning the communications strategy. Mark is no stranger to Nigeria, his last assignment there was for DFID at the Co-operative Extension Centre in the University of Makurdi, Benue State. A series of visits there lead to the establishment of a purpose built media unit for CEC and the training of their staff in particpatory development communications.
